Here at Angel City Press, we are very relieved to hear that artist and ACP author John Nava and family are now safely back in their Ojai home after they had to evacuate due to the Thomas fire. His studio also survived (Nava is the author of ACP’s new book Sacred Material: The Art of the Tapestries of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels).
A signing event scheduled for December 9 at Bart's Books in Ojai remains postponed; watch this space for a new date. "Downtown" Ojai was spared, but Matt and crew must now tend to the cleaning of thousands of books in their outdoor bookstore.
In its December 13 newsletter, Shelf Awareness provided an update on several Ventura & Ojai bookstores. There is also an effort to collect 10,000 books to donate families affected by the Thomas fire. More info -> http://www.shelf-awareness.com/issue.html?issue=3147#m38822
